Care instructions and winter storage

We have compiled the most important information so that you have many more years of joy with your ESTERAS products!

NatureLite planters

Care instructions

  • Simply clean with water, a mild detergent and a soft brush.
  • Do not use bleach, high-pressure cleaners or hard brushes which might affect or damage the finish.

Winter-proofing

  • NatureLite planters may be left in the outdoors during winter. Ideal: a sheltered space.
  • Place filled planters on trays so that snow and rainwater can flow off. If there is no drainage hole in the planter, simply drill a hole at the designated spot.
  • Store empty planters upside-down.
Extra tip:
The professional drainage EASY DRAINprovides additional protection for planted planters against frost.

Terracotta planters

Care instructions

  • Terracotta reaches its full beauty through its natural efflorescence and moss effect.
  • Simply clean with water, a mild detergent and a soft brush as needed.
  • Do not use bleach, high-pressure cleaners or hard brushes as this may damage the finish or patina.
Extra tip:
Place the terracotta planters in water before planting them so they can absorb the water and won't need to take any moisture from the plants.

Winter-proofing

  • We recommend storing the planters in a protected, covered location.
  • Place pots on trays and ensure sufficient drainage.
  • For additional protection: Wrap bubble wrap around the planters and make use of a drainage system such as EASY DRAIN.

FountainsLite fountains

Care instructions

  • Ensure a constant level of water: The pump must remain entirely submerged. Check the water level regularly and fill as needed.
  • Simply clean with water, a mild detergent and a soft brush.
  • Do not use any high-pressure cleaners or bleach.
Extra tip:
To prevent the formation of algae, please make use of a suitable algae treatment product.

Winter-proofing

  • Fountain bowl, pedestal and water bearing parts should not be left in the outdoors over winter.
  • Store in a dry, protected area such as the garage or basement.
